Charging Instructions

Charger Types

In general, the higher the power of the charging station , the faster your electric car will be charged. The actual charging power used also depends on how quickly your car can charge. Before the first charging process, check the technical design of your vehicle in the information provided by the manufacturer.

General available charging stations:

Charging station Plug Maximum charging power
AC-Ladestation Schuko plug, type 2 plug Schuko plug 3.6 kW / Type 2 plug 22 kW.
AC/DC-Ladestation CCS, CHAdeMO, Type 2 Fast charging station, up to 50 kW charging power.
e-Call a Bike Ladestation 2 Schuko sockets 3.6 kW (16 A)

Charging Time

How quickly your electric car’s battery can be charged depends on both the charging capacity of your vehicle’s internal charger and the maximum charging capacity of the charging point. The lower value specifies the maximum charging power possible.

To calculate the actual charging time of your electric car, divide the battery capacity by the charging power of the electric car. For example, if your electric car has a battery capacity of 85 kWh and the charging port has a charging capacity of 22 kW, then the charging time is around four hours. If you useone of our fast charging stations, the charging time can be reduced so much that you can charge 100 km range in just 5 minutes.

FAQ

Switching can help you save money, get better tariffs, access renewable energy options, or improve customer service.

Often yes, especially if you’ve been in the default Grundversorgung tariff, which is usually more expensive.

Some providers charge exit fees if you leave a fixed-term contract early. Check your current contract terms.

Fixed tariffs lock in prices for a set period while variable tariffs can change monthly.

You’ll receive a final meter reading request and a closing bill (Abschlussrechnung).

You can either transfer your contract (if the provider services the new area) or sign a new one.

Your new provider is responsible for billing and customer service, while the local grid operator handles technical issues.

There are many options available for different needs and at different price ranges. An exhaustive list can be viewed here.

Our charging stations are powered by Photovoltaic (PV) systems located on the roofs of Germany’s leading supermarkets, generating PV solar energy locally, and synergising perfectly with our onsite EV hyperchargers.
